Accommodation Details
This is El Misti - a fun, colourful hostel that attracts a range of travellers from all over the world. The staff are very friendly and are a big feature of your stay here. The focus is on getting to know everyone, and there is a chill out room in which to socialize while a DJ supplies the music. There is a communal kitchen and the in-house chef serves up a different speciality each night for everyone. There is also a 24 hour reception, lockers, BBQ area, car park and internet facilities.

Location
The Botafogo region of Rio is a very authentic area and tourists don't tend to stop here. Step out from your hostel into streets full of old men playing cards and kids playing ball. There are bars and restaurants very close by too. You've got Botagfogo beach right on your doorstep with the famous landmark of Sugarloaf mountain looking down on you, and all the transport access you need close by. Most buses that pass through Botafogo run all over town.
